When you visit the website, our server and the Cloudflare service in front of it process technically necessary connection data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser details. This is needed to deliver the pages securely and to fend off attacks (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our server keeps no access log for this website.

We count visits with Umami, open-source software that runs on our server in Strasbourg (EU). The script is loaded from this website itself, and no data is passed on to third parties.

No cookies are set and no identifier is stored on your device. What is recorded: the page viewed (address and title), the referring website, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and the country, region and city derived from the IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.

The purpose is to know how many people visit the website and which pages they read (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The statistics are deleted after 395 days.

This website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising.

Only when you choose a language yourself does your browser store the cookie “NEXT_LOCALE” with the code of that language (for example “en”), so that the website opens in the same language next time. It expires after one year, holds no other data and is strictly necessary for this function you asked for (§ 165 (3) TKG 2021).

Without this cookie, the website picks the language from your browser settings and stores nothing.

Fonts and images are loaded from our own server. No third-party content such as Google Fonts, YouTube or social networks is embedded.

Links to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, public authorities or advice centres lead to other websites, where their own privacy policies apply.

When you write to us or call us, we process your details (name, contact details, content of your enquiry) to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete them once your matter is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Our mailbox is run by Google (Gmail). Messages sent via WhatsApp and Telegram are processed by those services under their own terms.

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 18, 20 and 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Write to us at ib.legalassistance@gmail.com.
